McKamish was selected as the design-build mechanical contractor for the renovation to the former YMCA building into Ace Hotel.

The former YMCA was converted into ACE Hotel in East Liberty. The historic building renovation consists of 63 rooms, a restaurant and gymnasium. The existing interior finishes had to remain in the public spaces which made renovating the HVAC systems extremely challenging. McKamish designed a large commercial kitchen ventilation system requiring make-up air and exhaust air systems running up through the building from the lowest level.
