McKamish was selected as the design-assist mechanical contractor for the new Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey Arena.

The 720,000 square foot facility is the first LEED Gold certified NHL arena. The challenge to this project was that project completion was needed in 24 months when mechanical design development drawings were under 50% complete. As a design assist team member, McKamish worked with the Project Team to complete design within budget, early release of long lead equipment, early start on BIM, pre-fabrication and overall project control.
