McKamish was selected as the mechanical contractor for the new Tower at PNC Plaza.

The 33-story, 802,000 square foot office building is LEED Platinum Accredited. Some of the mechanical green features include the use of over two thousand chilled beams, radiant panels as a heat source, mechanical windows that open to provide natural ventilation and a blackwater system used to reduce water consumption. The biggest challenge to this project was its site logistics. Located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, all deliveries were scheduled ‘just in time’ and had to be coordinated with all other contractors on site.
